Amazed nobody picked up on this one, gobsmacked in fact . . . . Chris (TGW) needs some help at times with info about the Beeb4 good stuff. I don't have a TV licence so rarely know what's on the TV.

Anyhoots, happened on it by pure chance as I flicked through the iPlayer app on my tablet this morning whilst checking my emails in bed, which is not something I normally do. It's now downloaded and I'll watch it on the TV later. I have seen the first 10 minutes and its clearly a superb programme with lots of analogue audio porn for the crusty vinyl/tape and gear lovers ;) But loads here for the average music lover too.

Hi Tim,
Yes I missed it because we went out early last night to a gig. However, Mrs Wazzles spotted it and recorded it for us to watch later. Our taste in music is (almost) identical, so great teamwork ensues!
I'm looking forward to it, especially as I've been reading a bit about what went on there in Jerry Wexler's book.
I think I'll change the name of the 'On BBC4 Tonight' thread to allow it to be a bit more of a general reference to stuff on all the channels. I've been thinking of doing that for ages, actually!

Yes, perhaps it might be a good idea to change the title of the thread to 'On TV Tonight'.

Well that's one opinion, but not one I share - Its not just the studio itself that makes a place great or the list of who has recorded there, bit more to it than that ;)

Tis' a great programme Mike, especially if you have been into music since the 60's, some great old footage too. I plan to watch it a second time when I get the chance. Some of my favourite musicians come from around there - my album of the year last year was by Jason Isbell who comes from Green Hill, Alabama.
