Bazil (Barry) has been kind enough to choose an album for us this week. Thanks a lot Barry.

PSB are two guys who sample old recordings of broadcasts of public information films and such like and add music.
It may not be too original but they do it well.
Since 2010 they have put out a few singles and EPs, Inform Educate Entertain is their first album.

I really like this and have saved it as a playlist on Spotify until I can grab a copy on CD. An excellent submission Baz, thank you for the heads up as I'd not heard of this outfit before... 8/10 for me:)

Great stuff Dave, its quite hard not to like.
I have given it 8 also I'm sure there is better to come from these guys.

Quite an enjoyable listen to this on my headphones this morning (lying in bed with a nice cuppa). Gave it a 7 as whilst it didn't offend at all and the background music was nice, I felt the samples and voiceovers didn't give that much extra to what would have been a perfectly acceptable chill album in its own right. Reminded me of early 90s offerings from 'The Grid' in places. I think I'd get bored with listening to the whole thing again, probably because the voice samples would quickly lose any novelty value.

I like this album.
Saw them play live last year a couple of times (inc at Glastonbury) and it felt like a mixed reaction from the crowd.
Interesting to see how/if they can develop from this offering.
In the meantime 7/10.

Cheers
John

Yes that how I feel, I hope they push on from this but if they stay true to their name then maybe they are a one trick pony.

It's fun for a song or two, but I soon tired of listening to the whole album. However, for the high points I'll give it 5/10.
