Which Mains Block Do You Use?

Have been looking at the Russ Andrews mains blocks after borrowing one for the weekend from a colleague and was very surprised at the improvement it made to my system - lower noise floor from turntable especially. Just wondering what other forum members use and can recommend.

I was using a Russ Andrews Purifier block before I went to a mains regenerator

Very good.
Much better than a cheapo 4 way
Also have an older style Russ Andrews mains block I use in my office

Two AG1500s and an Isotek with star-wired multiway plugs and home made kettle leads, on the former and home made cables on the latter.

I use the Copper Star. Simple design but well thought out and beautifully put together. It certainly does the job.

I use a Russ Andrews block. I have done back to back comparison with it and with several of the Belkin offerings plus various cheap B&Q and Woolworths efforts. The RA is better than all of them but it is certainly not night and day, it is a very subtle improvement.

Used to use a Tacima CS 629 which was not far off, if at all from a Musicworks box, and ditto one from QED.

Now use a Belkin device that was a bargain, can't remember what model it is, but originally they were over £60 and were sold off for about £20 or less, and made an improvement on the Tac.

I use a MCRUS mains block with 4mm shielded cable. Not suggesting its the best but it did make a noticeable difference to my Lidl switched surge protected block.:)

I use the Isol-8 which is linked in my signature. It has 5 sockets and filters out DC (amongst other things). Not particularly cheap but it seems to have improved the consistency of my system's performance, and is very nicely put together.

I'm using a merlin block, called black widow? before that I had Russ Andrews that had been around for a number of years

I use a 6-way industrial Olsen distribution strip that looks similar to

It is fitted with a 10A Schaffner RFI filter with a Varistor VDR surge suppressor. The neon, switch and fuse have been removed from the strip.

I use one in my second system. Yes, intially they did go for silly money (something like £50 (?)), but sadly that didn't last long. Wish I had bought another one at the time. :doh:

Ditto (Hydra?) when I've more than two bits of kit. Best solution available imo.

Me too, PF30 plugged into balanced mains. Power amp plugged directly into the balanced mains.

I use two Isotek Sirius Evo III power strips for the HiFi stuff, and an Opera Consonance P3 for the TV/video stuff.
They all get the job done just fine.
