It has taken a lot of soul searching and agonising to decide to sell these, but I'm now taking a new path.

I've had them for three years and have enjoyed them enormously. Aside from their famous naturalism and ability to capture tonal colour and nuance, they have many other virtues; excellent imaging, compelling dynamics and a realistic sense of scale - they will fill surprisingly large spaces but sound intimate in small ones. Although they are easy to drive with relatively modest amps, they really respond to changes. I have used very powerful solid state and hybrid amps to make them tight and dynamic, but I've also used relatively low powered valve amps to extract every last ounce of tonal beauty.

Before I talk myself into keeping them, here are the details and pictures:

Harbeth Compact 7ES3 - £1250.

3 years old, first user. Bought ex-demo. Excellent condition, with original boxes and documentation. Only light marks on the underside where stands have been used (shown on final photo below).

Something Solid Stands, custom built for C7ES3 - £150

19.5 inches high, 20 inches with spikes. I spent ages experimenting to discover the perfect height before I ordered these, and later found out it was the exact height that Alan Shaw recommends. This would have saved me a lot of time, but you can be sure they are right.

The stands are collection only, and preference is given to buyers who want the speakers with stands. Otherwise, if I find a buyer for the stands, the speakers can be posted.

Scalford delivery is possible, or collection in South London. Delivery possible if you live nearby.

I sold these but the buyer has found they don't work in his room. If anyone is interested, let me know and I will put you in touch. He lives in Essex.
