Time for someone else to enjoy this lovely PL-71 - I bought it a year ago, and have loved every minute listening to it. For the money, these old decks are extremely hard to beat and that Pioneer arm is a fabulous bit of kit if you're using 'massy' cartridges such as the DL103/SPU and even Decca Golds.

Saying that, it sang its heart out with my Benz ACE.

This '71's in nice clean condition, had a brand new custom-made lid last year which looks really neat. I'll of course supply the original which is still totally useable but has a - repaired - crack at the rear.

Original headshell too.

I need to move this on fairly quickly as I really don't want to courier it, and will bring it along to Scalford next weekend to be picked at the end of the Show where it will play its swansong in my hands. I'll miss it, but we move on (again). :)

Price: £200 or £215 with a very low mileage (ie less than 20 hours) Rega Carbon fitted.

Got to ask - WHY??????

These things are rare, owners love 'em and this looks to be in superb condition, unlike many US imported ones that break in transit. For vinyl with all it's characteristics, why change?
