Hello, I recently purchased a Grace Digital Internet radio tuner and I researched it quite a bit and it got pretty good reviews. But, when I listen to it with my Kenwood KR-9600 playing through to my Speakerlab 7WA's it just doesn't sound high quality at all. I have noticed that the higher bit rates like 128 do sound better, but still not good enough for me. So my question here is should I spend $$$ on a DAC or would it not make a big enough difference? I really like the idea of listening to thousands of stations and if I had it hooked up to a cheap stereo I wouldn't mind, but I don't!

Thanks in advance, Patrick...

Don't bother
90% of internet radio have a crappy low bitrate output some as low as 64k although there are a few that broadcast at 320.

I actually find that when piping 128k radio streams via my Sonos BR100 + ZP90 through a Bushmaster MkII that there is a marked improvement with the audio... at least to my cloth ears :)
