Hi all,

I'm selling my Metrum Acoustics Octave mk1 NOS DAC.

Look to google for rave reviews around the world.
This is one of a handfull of Octave DAC's that does play 192 khz very well. It also has black housing which was an extra option at Metrum.

This Octave is mint condition, no scratches, no marks and plays wonderfull music. I have used it sparingly and have never left it turned-on (I think it best to have it warm op on those occasions that I have time, instead of letting ik coock for an eternety).

Price is 650 euro including shipping. This is an EU unit but can be easily modded to US.

I'm selling it because I am focussing more on vinyl and other tangible media. Call me old fashion that way.

Hi Zoldar,
Great sounding DAC there. I thought the mk1 is limited to 176.4khz max and only the mk2 can go upto 192kHz?

There was a few of these that could reach 192khz, I actually had one myself until recently.

true. officialy it was limited to 174khz, but a lucky few reached 192khz. Later on in the production you could ask Metrum to select an 192khz Octave from the production line, at a premium off course.
