Hi All, apologies if this has been covered elsewhere on the Beresford Banter section of the forum, what, apart from the USB input and variable output, are the differences between the Caiman and Bushmaster II DACs? Is there a difference in SQ? And is the Caiman still available? Can't seem to find it on the Beresford website.

I have both and found the BM2 to sound noticeably better than the Caiman. My Caiman also has the Gator mod and Linear PSU.

I use it with a battery as Stan's advise which has really upped the sound quality.

So using a Bushmaster II with USB>SPDIF converter would be best for streaming from a computer?

Same for me here... Mac Mini to Musical Fidelity V-Link II to Bushmaster Mk.II to amp with Foobar2000 to play the sounds...

Hi All,
unsure to caiman, but i have similar to Pete above, Mac mini (late 2012), to the BM2 dac to my yamaha aventage amp & i am very pleased with the quality.
I do not have the MF V-link, as i use the digital out on the mac which is a mini toslink & i use a fisual pearl mini toslink to toslink lead from mac to dac.
