Well i've owned my Bushmaster MK 2 for a week but have been unable to get it to work with my PC, then THIS (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190925088046?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649&clk_rvr_id=586088990036&afsrc=1) arrived today.

All i can say is WOW! The Realtek 889 chip on my PC's motherboard is well respected, but the Bushmaster reveals so much more detail and justifies the additional expenditure. And this improvement is on a Bushmaster that has not had time to burn in yet, i've got a stack of audio files that i've looped so that the Bushmaster can settle in over the next couple of days.

Next step? I need to upgrade my 12 year old Bayerdynamic DT 331 headphones to get more from the Bushmaster. I'm not sure what to buy, AKG K550's,AKG 701's,Grado SR325iS? Decisions, decisions.

After the headphone upgrade i'll probably buy a battery power supply to squeeze that little extra out of the Bushmaster, but for now i'm one happy chappy!;)

And a big 'thank you' must go out to Stan for all his help and advice, i was a pain in the proverbial last week with all the emails i sent him.

Hi, I have a pair of AKG 701's and have to say very impressed - superb sound and very comfortable.

I have been working on an amended FW to squeeze a bit more performance out of the BMII when used with a battery pack. I just need handling charge and the old FW back afterwards. email me if anyone is interested.

I've read glowing reviews Nick.

I'm intrigued Stan, but best to let my Bushmaster have a good warm up first eh? Is it a straightforward procedure to replace FW?
