Hello everyone my name is Ray I live in Belfast N.Ireland.
I bought my first HiFi about 30 odd years ago.
My present system consists of;
Rega planner3/Denon 103R.
Modwright/Sony SACD/CD player with tube rectification power supply.
Naim 62 / 160 and HiCap
AVC EL34 Changed to KT66 valves and a few other mods.
Monitor Audio GR60's and Audio Nirvana 15" full range speakers.

My most recent purchase was one of Mr Berisford's Bushmaster DAC's which I am delighted with, I bought it to team up with a 500GB Archos5 for when I am sailing.
I will listen to anyone who can sing and has decent recordings , love Streisand (for anyone else who loves her I recommend the 15" Audio Nirvana's) Mainly listen to female vocalist's and jazz, a little classical, Gary Jules being one of the few male vocalists I adore.

Don't have room in my life or house for a TV.

Thanks Mr Kipling,

I think I could suffer the Archos roped to the Bushmaster as a digital front end all the time at home.
No mucking about packing and unpacking CD's, shiver me timbers!

Hi Ray and welcome to AoS. When I used to run a valve amp, I loved the sound of EL34s. When I had the amp upgraded to run 6550s, it never sounded as good again.

I also like EL34 valves. I've used many valve amps, but my old EL34 monos still sound the best I've used so far (along with my little 6V6 integrated).
