I picked this up when experimenting with speakers - now I've decided to stay Tannoy and as these prefer push-pull amps over single ended, it's now ready for release back into the wild. I took it in a swap last year and it was jolly nice with some visiting AN-E HE SPe's, but in the end the E's weren't quite to my taste compared to good old 12in Monitor Golds.
Point to point wired, Israeli-made, American mains and output transformers. Roughly 8w single ended, with a volume control for preamp matching or use with a single source. J Soundlab was run for several years by two brothers in Tel Aviv but went bust a year or so back leaving some orders unfulfilled, but they had a reasonable reputation when still going.
These were USD $1125 + $125 shipping when available new, do the conversion and add the 20% VAT and you get to just over £1000 landed in the UK, which is a considerable bargain, coming direct from the manufacturer so comparable to amps much more expensive bought through dealer networks. It's just had a trip to John Caswell for a pre-sale checkover as I felt its its performance had dipped (found a dud 6SN7 which was rather embarrassing as I really should have spotted that myself). Just had some near-new JJs fitted which had been a pair from the matched quad on my 300b PP amp before I dinged one and it wasn't a quad any more - I can include the third tube in case of mishaps.

I could probably use the money as the Tannoy cabs being constructed will need paying for shortly but I would also consider a decent step-up transformer useful for a 6ohm cartridge in exchange (full or part). Potentially also open to swaps for cartridge or or tonearm, stereo or mono. I'd rather not post but happy to meet up.
