Selling my extremely clean and tidy Thorens TD160B Mk.II. Boxed, with original box, packing and manual, this is the 'B' version that comes with no tonearm and has a mount for SME type arm bases. Not many about in as good condition as this one, the belt is good and it all works just fine and and the perspex dust cover is decent, just the usual hazing of fine scratches due to polishing. You are unlikely to find a nicer example of this lovely sounding turntable.

Asking £175 collection only from West London (it's too fragile to entrust to couriers).

I should point out that non SME mount type arms can be used with alternative mounting plates.

These Thornes do sing very nicely with the old school SME arms!!

They sound great with the Mission 774.

Hadcocks too. I had one exactly the same fitted with a Hadcock 228 Super D-Type Export arm. Replaced the armboard with a steel one and lined the plinth and sub-chassis with Bostic Sound Deadening Panels - still have the rest of the box!

No time to polish the platter Geoff!?!

It is shiny. It's just the photos. I should have used a couple of slave flashguns. It looks lovely in the flesh!

I used to have the 'ATR' version of that deck in the 80's which came over with Hadcock, my preferences are the polar opposite these days but thought it a great back then.
