It was outside my flat and the course is criss-crossed with pathways most of which I used to hit on a regular basis hence the nickname Pathway (and my surname begins with a P so this fit nicely).

Those triples were great if a little unreliable I seem to remember. I had a one of the GT500 twins in 80's. Terrific bike. And GS750 which I liked much less. Are you riding anything now Geoff?

Mine comes from a joke name used by family after I got in the middle of a fight between my car and a tree, trying to avoid a lump of metalwork that had come off a vehicle in the middle lane of the M6 back in Sept 2000. Like many hip-disarticulation patients I subsequently found crutches the best form of mobility, and this has had a predictable impact on my upper body development :lol:
Having now lost my main hobby of Shotokan Karate, I learned to play drums as an effective form of rehabilitation and inflicted that on my neighbours for the next couple of years. Since then I go through cycles of my various interests since childhood, namely, Astronomy (Astroimaging to be precise), Origami, Cooking and.......Music. Onward and upwards!

All started in 95 when Paul McKenna came on the TV with his show, I bought his book the following Saturday in WH Smiths and came home and read it cover to cover the same afternoon, I had the tools then I reckoned to be a Hypnotist (wrong) I needed someone to practice on so went out to my mates houses and got a few to let me have a go! Rubbish results at first and then things turned a corner, all of a sudden I started seeing a pattern evolve where they all started doing what was suggested once I got them under ! Following on from my initial success I was out knocking on doors and my circle of friends got suddenly smaller, curtains would twitch before they answered or not lol.

Carried on and did a few parties and progressed into a Hypno-analysts and became a member of The Association Of Hypno Analysts where by thew main people I treated wre for Smoking-Stress and Weight Loss.

Works quite well for getting discount on Audio stuff from local shops (joking) and you won't believe some of the stuff thats happened, looks up Transference and Hypnotists on Google and you'll see becoming a Womans Hero can bring all sorts of problems! I'll say no more lol

Sadly I am not so sure I will be able to do much skiing now, unless I get my current heart issues under control. We were very fortunate and when we had a guest house business down here in sunny Devon for nearly 15 years, we purchased a ski condo in Fernie, Canada to rent out, we managed to use it for 5 years staying around 7 weeks, and one year I was there for most of the season and skied 85 days, just wonderful. don't have the condo anymore before anyone asks.

Well, when I started composing professionally back in the mid-90s I was using a Yamaha SY-85 workstation primarily (and a lot of other bits and bobs besides); I tended to shape each patch (instrument) using the vast array of onboard filters, one of which converted key velocity into a filter envelope (I believe it was either cut-off or resonance) rather than volume - i.e. the harder the key is hit, the wider the envelope. With progressively increased key striking the effect of an opening and closing filter could be played directly in rather than sequencing the effect (slow).

A composing mate of mine one day mentioned that it was like I had my own laboratory for filters. I became Filterlab and I've stuck with it widely since.

Well I'm sure my user name is self explanatory but just in case, they "Rush" are the Canadian rock band who's iconic 70's album is "2112" they sadly lost in 2020 the enormously talented Neil Peart, drummer and lyricist for some 40 years with the band. There is a huge legacy of work from the band worthy of checking out but my introduction courtesy of Tommy Vance's Rock Show radio programme was the album 2112. Now the avatar, if you look closely or are a prog rock fan you will recognise the artwork to Camel's album Nude, I was introduced to them by record shop owner Sandy Mountain (Sinfonia - Blackpool) who's breath of knowledge of music was quite incredible and I have him to thank for many introductions to artists I doubt I would have never discovered otherwise.
