Hi, I used to be heavily into vintage hi-fi but these days (due to other space consuming hobbies) I just don't have the space for it anymore. Most of my listening time now is via headphones. Sad days. The thing I miss most is my JVC ML10/PL10 set, it was in mint condition including original signed test certificates from the factory QA, and I sold it to a friend for peanuts before finding out how rare it really was.

Are you the person who is building a full sized Millenium Falcon, that would certainly take up some space....

I don't have quite enough space for that. I've also been an avid gamer since I was old enough to reach coin slots, and that turned into an arcade and pinball machine collection. Almost nothing beyond classic car collecting can consume space so entirely. There are four large shelving racks scattered around the house with over 400 game circuit boards on them, the study has 6 machines in it, the lounge another three, the garage has a giant double screen gun game in there and more pinball machines.

It's a mess. Kind of like how things were back when I did regular car boot sale hi-fi buying/selling (just over 20 years ago), but without the problem of trying to keep the speakers away from everything that didn't like magnets.

What a day this has been.
Spent 5 minutes on AoS and we had David joining from Helsinki with his 17 turntables (and he thinks he's got an addiction), and now James with a private branch of Golden Nugget.
I've got a living room with a couple of sofas, a TV and a hifi system, a wife and two kids. Where did I go wrong?
That said, an afternoon round at James' place could be fun ... good on you !!!
