Hi all!
Been loitering around the forum for some time and thought it was about time to interact!
I'm a bit of a vinyl nut having a Garrard 401 in a NW Analogue Slate Plinth with a Nima Tonearm and NWA modified DV20X (it was Dom who pointed me here originally). Rest of the rig is classic CB Naim 32.5/Hicap/160 driving a pair of Kef LS50s. When I'm feeling lazy I also use a Squeezebox Touch:). All sit rather fetchingly in a Slateage Rack.

Here you go :D

Hi Mark and welcome to the forum… looks like you're a big Naim Crome bumper fan… you'll see I have a Nap250 of the same design for sale on the Private Classifieds if you are interested ;)

Also, loving that wallpaper :)

Paul.

Hello Mark,
Welcome to the AoS from a fellow vinyl nut, super system, bet it sounds great.
So that's what a Naim chrome bumber looks like, I actually thought it had a chrome strip round it or something, my first amp was a Technics, then I moved on to a Naim 42/110 and I loved it.
I've heard Dom's slate 401 and it was excellent.

enjoy your music

regards Al

I thought the black look went out of fashion 20 years ago, but that's a very neat and pretty looking set-up.

For me, though, the wallpaper wins hands-down. Inspired.

You don't have a strobe light hanging from the ceiling, by any chance?

Your taste in music?

Cheers for the welcome and compliments y'all (I think!).
Have worked myself forwards and backwards along Naim range after many years faithful enjoyment - taken in the Black and the Olive Naits and 72/140. But my current CB set-up beats them all.
Before the slated Garrard I was a long-term Lp12 fan, but Dom changed all that! As far as music taste, its broad and diverse - big Americana / Alt-County fan as well as classic rock and folk (spotters may notice one of my many Liege and Lief LPs in the pic).

Nice system, Reefhead - and welcome.

I remember fondly my Kef RDM One from too-many years ago ('96-ish?) and their small cabinet and "single" Uni-Q driver gave them an uncanny out-of-the-box realism with vocals that was quite startling. The memory makes me want to hear some LS50s.

Not for me - all my gear is black and ("snot") green (i.e. Quad). What do you prefer - silver or (champagne) gold? That's so '60s!

By the way, welcome to AoS Mark.

What are your tastes in music?
