Both are in pretty good condition with a few stacking marks but the fascia's are clean. I'm looking for £120+p&p each.

Indeed. Not only does it look gorgeous, Richard, but I can tell you it also sounds superb! One thing's for sure: for whoever buys it, it'll be the best £120 they've ever spent on a CD player... ;)

I had an XA20ES a few years ago and have always regretted selling it. I fitted a sooper dooper mains lead and that certainly did improve the sound significantly :eyebrows:

The transformer is 220VA.. Or do you mean the input voltage ? In that case its 230vac.

Thanks James.

I am interested in the amp but I just don't trust couriers no more! Pity I don't drive !!

Yes, that would be its primary strength (having a superb transport mech), but at £120, in that condition, it's stupidly good and would piss over a lot of CDPs made today. I'd expect it to easily compete in the sub £800 arena, and with some judicious mods, well, the sky's the limit...

I hope you're replacing it with something good!

@Shane: Fair do's... I try and pack things to survive being thrown down a flight of stairs [only had one parcel damaged in 6 years or so.] I do agree though, ideally no hifi should be trusted with a courier !

Agreed. The analogue output stage is no slouch but theres lots of scope for improvement should the new owner feel so inclined.

I would propose a swap but I don't have the spare funds to make up the shortfall so can only say good luck with the sale !

I wouldn't doubt it for a minute - I use my X303ES as a transport and it is indeed a lovely thing. Built like a tank too.

Hope James moves these on to a good home soon. :)

I try to avoid posting replies that add nothing to the discussion or the sale, but on this occasion I can't resist ....... these look very nice, and great price.

I am so tempted to go for the cd player, anyone want a nice Pioneer PD703 stable platter or a Sony CDP XB930E player at a good price?

Sorry, I meant an amp for amp swap... Currently got a few possible takers on the CD player.

Thanks James

I've looked on completed on eBay and £120 seems a fair price, they are going for about £102 - £160, but your one is good as it's been serviced too

I can pay straight away if it comes my way...

I only meant it tongue in cheek :) But yeah, I was going to ask £130 but then an original remote will cost around £10 so £120 seemed fair.

I can confirm the CD player is definitely sold now.

So, James, who's the lucky owner of the CD player? :)

I couldn't resist it Marco and was both shocked and surprised that I was able to grab it especially after sitting on my hands for most of yesterday trying to resist the temptation :)

Incidentally, if anybody has links to UK based suppliers of the original remote at a reasonable cost... please do let me know ;)

Thanks guys :)
