I love the way Jungson sounds and the brick shit house build but I'm constantly thinking could I get the same characteristics in a way more efficient package? The only thing that seems to fit is the CAMBRIDGE AUDIO AZUR 840A V2 120w Class XD. Any views?

Well first impressions are that I'm really impressed with it. It does need a bit of a clean lol, which will happen this weekend. The depth of soundstage it creates combined with such a clarity really is 1st rate for the money. So far its pretty much doing all I wanted when I started the thread.

l find in my system using the SONY, l care not for hifi but what disc shall l put on next, it really is quite addictive.

Interesting that the Sony amps are making a comeback with quite a few folk using them now. What a reversal of trend from the scene 20 years ago or so. Also note a lot of people using Harbeth speakers who seem very happy with their systems as a whole. Must be something in it, I think.

Macca, my SONY/Harbeth combo is really something, l nearly fell out of my chair when l first heard it, it is just so musical and full of life, there is nothing that it cannot play.
