Selling my Thorens tt as no longer required. This is in working condition and includes damping upgrades. Slight scratches on cabinet. Slight unnoticable scratches on lid. £110.00

You don't need that! All you have to do is to go water-skiing without a wetsuit - instant colonic irrigation.....salt water enema!!!

The secret is a well fitting box that will allow for plenty of padding. Also platter will be removed, and the cover, and wrapped in bubblewarp etc. The padding at the top should be in situ as not to allow anything to move around within the box. I recently sold a Michell Syncro to a guy in LA and he gave me good feedback on E bay.

A sound damper. You can gat these on E Bay inc the rings that can be used on bearing and motor.

A 'Buy' search on eBay only turns up drum/percussion bits and pieces - any more details?

Hi again Mike,
Ooops,......it looks as if I was the one with the senior moment - sorry !! I did see that item but didn't realise that that was what it was - I was looking for ONLY the damping ring, with a view to quietening a SL1200, should it need it.

Hi Dave,

Pretty sure he'll sell the various items individually. I doubt you'll be able to get one for an SL12XX though due to the sloping outer edge of the platter where the strobe marks live...

Yes, it is custom made for the thorens. Thats why my Thorens appears black around the platter. Spoils it though as I like a nice shiny silver platter.
