I am looking for a phonostage to go with my Gyro/RB300/2M Blue.
Budget around £100 or so.

The Angle Audio one seems well recommended, had a CA 640P in the past which was OK but nothing special. Only one I have been impressed with is the in-built ones that come with the Sony 670ES and 770ES integrated amps.
I have had a Heed Questar too previously with a DL103, again that did not really seem anything exciting either....

Ideally would prefer S/H over the variety of Project/Rega MM Stages New at that budget.

I picked up an old Croft Micro pre for around your budget, paid a bit more for a service from Glenn - phono stage is excellent if MM only is OK, & using tape loop it becomes a phono stage only.

Hi Rob

Try the excellent Hagerman Bugle. Absolutely unbeatable this side of £500 never mind £100.

why don't you try to make one - there's a number of excellent solid state schematics you can knock for under 100, a case included. with cheap shunts and regulation, a good sound has never been so affordable.
