At present I have a modest AV type system.
Source Rotel RCD 865BX, Manticore Mantra, RB300, Ortifon MC10 super. Musical Fidelity V-LPS phono.
Amps Denon 3803 AV only Sky HD & HP micro server XBMC.
Ion Obelisk One (25 yrs old)
Speakers: Mission M33 main, Mission M30 rears. Mission Centre. Wharfedale Sub.
Headphones AKG K550 new for Xmas.
Apple MacBook Pro..

Looking for advice on initial upgrades, budget around 1k this year. But initially around 200-250 for s/h speakers. Still undecided whether to relocate the hifi out of the lounge and into the conservatory so that would mean selling on the M33's.
What I've considered Royd Minstral heard and do like, Dynaudio 42's not heard but I've read good things, Revolver R33 again only on word of mouth and lastly AVI Neutron 4
Long term these should allowme to last an amp upgrade to something good around 500 pound later on.

Sound I'm looking for is good detail which my headphones give me, accurate timbre and sound staging and a nice groove. I did have a Naim 72/HC/140 with B&W 602's but downsized 8 yrs ago..
Any thoughts and opinions ? Thanks

Hi, just a heads up there is a gorgeous set of royd minstrels on ebay in a rare walnut finish - I've got a pair of them myself and you literally just can not fault them.

I'm also selling a Pioneer SA9100 if you're interested? an absolutely stunning amp which is like a swiss army knife with functions available at your finger tips..
asking £300 for it ( I can provide photos )
