Terve! = Hello!
I´m a finnish guy who likes music and the gadget before and after the record. Both analog and digital are my enjoyment as well as good whiskey.
From classical to jazz and heavy metal as well as deep house are to my liking if the time and mood are right.
I´ve got three and a half ( three complete and one that is missing the plinth and feet) Technics SL-12xx´s from my previous life as a sound technician/DJ and I´m thinking of modding them one at a time to get them off my shelves and into good use.
The planat the moment for the first Tech (SL-1210 MkII) includes a laminated carbon fibre cloth on the top, separate PSU and regulator mod (thanks to Ken), new caps, Michell Technoarm, new bearing, maybe Mikes (oh the $$$), plinth made of concrete inside a hard wood outer plint that rests on Soliclear Isofeet. Platter mod where the rubber is removed and platter is filled with liquid damping mass used in cars for vibration control instead of Dynamat for equal weight distribution and maybe some other great mod this forum inspires and provides ideas to.
My music enjoyment gadget at the moment are Vienna Acoustics Mahlers, Transparent Ultra MM2speaker cables, Apoll Acoustics MA 1.0 MkII monoblocs, Linn Akurate DSM, modded Playstation 1, Rega Planar 2 with RB250 arm and Ortofon MC 20 Super cartridge + some mods and a DYI rack made of hard wood oak. Some other stuff also is around for other uses in different rooms and many projects are on the way.
