Over the last couple of years I have accumulated a lot of turntable bits and bobs. Because I have no camera and am wary of posting, they have just been sitting here.
I thought now would be a good chance to sell. Collection only at Scalford.
I will not be trying to sell these on the day. It is completion only, of pre-arranged deals.
　
ORTOFON CADENZA BLACK
This fantastic cartridge came on a turntable which I bought in October 2012. The previous owner had bought it new just a few months previously, and had barely used it. I used it up to Scalford 2013 (where it received much praise.), then I sold that T/T and the cartridge lay unused until Sept, when I put it on my Garrard/Sme 3012 set up. Many wammers have been to my house since, and heard it. It always goes down well.
I estimate under 200 hours in total for this cartridge. It is fantastic. Fully boxed etc

LINN TROIKA
Having heard about this cartridge for years but not having heard one, this one came up local to me so I bought it. It was from the original owner and is untouched from new. It still sounds great and I see what all the fuss is about. But it is time to move it on. £280

FIDELITY RESEARCH FR 702
I bought an Oracle Delphi T/T last November, really just for the arm which was on it ( FR 64fx). This cartridge was part of the package.
The previous owner had it re-tipped in July 2013 ( I don’t know who did it) but then downsized his house so the Hi Fi had to go.
He reckoned less than 10 hours on it. I have only just got a SUT to use it, so I have added little to that figure.

It comes in its original box, as shown in one of those links. The cartridge is integral to the headshell, and weighs a ton. You would need a heavy counterweight set up for this beauty.
It sounds fantastic, which brings me to the crunch.

I would prefer not to sell it.
It is only for sale if I don’t realise a decent sum from the sale of other stuff. If I sell the Cadenza Black, then this FR isn’t for sale.
I will be using it at Scalford, so will probably only decide a few days before that.

DENON DL 304
This came as part of the same deal as the FR702. The owner bought this new in July 2013 as a “fill in” whilst the FR was being re-tipped. VERY low hours since new, and about 30 minutes by me just to check it. Probably less than 5 hours in total.
It is virtually a new cartridge. £220

The offer to demo cartridges is NOT during the show on Sunday, when I will be using only the FR702 and the Cadenza Black. It is just too much hassle balancing Tonearms etc. So, it would need to be on the Saturday, or late Sunday, say 4 ish until 5ish.
