Hi Silvio, nice looking system!
Hi Silvio,
That's a lovely system you've put together.
You appear to have nicked my record collection! You have a few records by artists that I like but don't possess - thanks, I'll see if I can get copies.
Regards,
Alex
Some time ago, Thorens TD810 is gone, replaced by a VPI Super Scoutmaster References. The shelf on which the turntable stands is Shun Mook Audio.

Khe, khe, dust?! Where? :nocomment:
I plan to upgrade the cartridge with the Lyra Delos.
All looks rather plush Silvio. Got everything balanced just right imo
The speakers are not dusty, but are sprinkled with the stars ...
Just to mention, Reference SSM includes VPI outer ring, HRX central weight, TNT Mini HRX legs, super platter, VPI best 10" tonearm JMW-10.5, SDS power and Rim Drive dual motor assembly. And has its own high-quality dust, which can not be deleted without special instructions ...

Very nice, I always wanted to try these ML CD players, DACs and Transports but I have never crossed paths with any. Maybe some day.

Love those Mark Levinson players; an aspiration of mine!
A very enviable system, well done!
Oh, and a belated welcome to AoS from me Silvio.

For the sake of truth, I must say that ML is still a secondary source. The primary is VPI turntable.
Right now I harass neighbors with a touch of free jazz, on vinyl of course.
And thanks :)

Very nice setup you have - congrats.
Now everything is more or less the American equipment. Before that I had the British - Italian - Japanese combination.:mental:

Same with me - my setup is completely American - VPI table, McIntosh, Home built tube amps, Grado cart, and Klipsch speakers. I didn't intend for this to happen - it just did oddly enough. At the same time though - I have a Japanese table and Cambridge Audio CD/DAC -so not 100%.
Lovely system, Silvio!

A beautiful system, Sylvio.
Love the TT.... Never seen one of those before. Smashing!
Do you have any other plans for the system?

Could you tell us about the lovely musical instrument in post 15?
This is CR4M Electric Upright (Double) Bass by NS Design
Do you have any other plans for the system?
Oh yes, some Mark Levinson, Krell or Theta DAC, with AES/EBU digital input (XLR), because my Mark Levinson No. 390S has only S/PDIF (RCA) digital input. Balanced outputs are indispensable.
Thnx

Agreed! It is what I use: balanced output from my Studer-Revox CD player into a Mark Levinson ML 28 preamp and balanced line connections to a pair of Mark Levinson ML-2 monoblocks (or Quad 510 monoblocks, in the summer), each placed directly behind each speaker.
When I completed the current system, the decision was to use a balanced connection. Based on my many years of musical experience.
I recently purchased a donor organs for my Mark Levinson No. 31 and that's Technics SL-P202 (with laser CDM 4/19).
Do you have any other plans for the system?
Yes, currently is on trial Wadia 321 DAC ...:eyebrows:

I suspect that is a bit good.
Yap. The new dCS Debussy DAC is my GB engine after a lot of american DACs. And sounds ...

The VPI went off and its place took over the Kuzma Reference 2 with 4Point tonearm and Benz Micro LP Phono Cartridge. I made a plexiglass (4 mm) cover for Kuzma.
Additionally, I recently upgraded dCS Debussy DAC to version v2.30 so now it can receive and play DSD files ...
