Does anyone have a class T mini T-Amp based on 2020 circuit.

It's for a work friend of mine who is just getting into decent quality sound. I used to have one of the Amptastic ones, and I know they are taking pre-orders for the new edition. However he is after one of the previous ones.

Anyone? (ive looked on the usual 2nd hand outlets and can only find the cheap made ones which he is not interested in at all)

Thanks and all the best

Graeme

Not 2020, but he could try a Bantam or Bantam Gold from Temple Audio. Better sounding than the 2020 IMHO.

+1 for the Bantam Gold . Fantastic for the money.

Never heard the bantum but I understand they are well liked around these parts.

The Amptastic preorder is due at the end of Jan I think but its more expensive than the last one at 99quid. Does he have his heart set on a particular pair of speakers as matching is v important when it comes to t amps in my humble experience.

Bet an open call on here for amps under a hundred quid would give you some interesting options. Any idea of his sources and other components?

The Amptastic was very transparent and will still be cheaper than the Bantam but lacks the maturity of the Bantam Gold in my system. It a serious amp and using a battery sounds even better. I not heard the new ampatastic but think having a different chip pays dividends

If you want a stonking bargain, buy one of these-

Needs a power supply though.

Why doesnit have to be British? (Put together by someone on their kitchen table.)

I have a couple of Topping TP20 amps. They are beautifully constructed and finished internally and externally. Sound magnificent driving my MA GX100 speakers.
