Hi Robert, welcome to AoS.

Pioneer SX1980

You kidding me! They don't make them like that any more. You are only the second person I know of that has owned/owns one. The best receiver Pioneer ever dreamt up and build.

Thank you, got it 13 months ago from "pre-loved" for £195.00 , I walked out of the guys house feeling extremely guilty.
The next day I had a phone call from him and I was assuming he was going to ask for it back - Instead he told me he has around 40 boxes in his attic full of vintage hi-fi

If I told you the equipment I walked away with , you wouldn't beleive me.. but I spent £600 with the guy and took all 40 boxes.

Receivers, Amps, Turntables, Speakers

Sold the majority of it for around £7500 - Not bad from a £890.00 spend uh ?

Excellent!
I expect Robert could use that quote when he gets round to selling it.
Hi Robert, welcome to AoS.
What sort of music do you like to listen to?
Oh, and did you sell all of that kit - is there, by any chance, any nice vintage Marantz gear left?

Me too.

'Die Ampscammer' are a rather more obscure favorite of mine. Do you like them Robert?

Hi Bomber,

Welcome to AoS. Is it true that before you were a bomber, you were a rear-gunner? :)

Marco.
