Well, you may think they are too big, so buy a DB25 female connector like this

disassemble it, and you'll get the clips you need.

Thanks. Do you know where I can get such clips in copper? I am having a hard time in finding such parts in copper.

Regular gold plated brass items will be just as good as copper for this purpose. Look up 'cross sectional conductivity' and you'll see why. You'd have no worthwhile gain using pure copper.

I cant find any information regarding this. This also goes against principal thinking. If you are thinking that brass will have the same conductivity because it has 50 to 75% copper content (the other content being zinc), it will never have the true conductivity that copper has.

The advantage that brass has over copper is that brass is a hard substance, and is much easier to machine over copper. Copper is difficult to machine because it is soft. But boy, when it is machined, its benefits are clearly audible like no other metal has (other than silver).

Mike what clip are you talking about?
the ones from Trans-fi audio are copper alloy.
the clips inside the DB25 connector I'm pretty sure they are copper.

The larger cross section of a brass conductor, the lower the resistance it offers. In the case of fine wires, such as headshell wiring for instance, then copper (or silver) would be the likely choice, as it would likely prove better than brass in this context, however for items with a greater cross section it becomes less important. Best way to determine the suitability of headshell/cartridge clips say, would be to measure comparative resistances of those made of copper or brass. I've not done this comparison, but I doubt there'd be a significant difference.

Having said that, if you wanted to use copper, I'm sure you could hand cut decent clips from good quality copper tube of the right inside diameter and moderate wall thickness.
