Price reduction on the AG500 . I've been using one of these now for some time and it really does work.

I've plugged in a 30w valve amp , a Panasonic 37 inch plasma , a music computer / server , a Virgin media box and a DAC. All this used app. 75% of available power of this mains regenerater . The unit has a little readout which tells you % of power used when each unit ( i.e. TV, amp etc. ) is plugged in so you can control what the AG500 is outputting. If you need to know more Power Inspired are very helpful .

Bone idle git that I am, one thing that is putting me off pulling the trigger on one of these is that I would have to buy new plugs for mi mains leads and then lose even more hair to frustration as I cack-handedly attempt to wire 'em all in, and then there's sneaking it past the missus of course...

Yup , I had fun with that one Dave . The box is huge and this thing is quite large and heavy . Not something you can hide doon the front o' yer troosers . I just use standard main cabling for the outputs Dave as I don't feel that sooper dooper mains cables are needed in this application . This thing also hugely improves TV , DVD and Blu ray pictures BTW. You have PM mate.

Why have to buy new plugs?

Alan , the AG500 has 6 outputs which require male ( I think ) IEC plugs like these .http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/IEC-3-Pin-Male-Rewirable-Inline-Plug-250V-10A-Amps-Disco-Mains-Kettle-Connector-/261358152991?pt=UK_Sound_Vision_Cables_Leads_Conne ctors&hash=item3cda28ed1f

I see. My AG1500 has 2 x 13a sockets. Much easier.

The AG1500 has been in my system for a couple of years now, following on from using a from a PS Audio PPP regenerator. The PPP was good on sound quality grounds, but the AG1500 trounced it and has worked perfectly ever since, I have no plans to change it.
The PPP did look nicer, though!

The AG1500 is £699 now? - still a bargain imho. :)

Yup agree that the AG1500 is probably still good value at the new price Jerry . However those with smaller systems and lower power requirements should seriously consider the AG500. As I have stated in the OP I use quite a few electrical appliances with mine and I still have some in reserve. If it suits this is a steal at the price .
