Hi
I've been hovering around for a while and have found many of the forum articles fascinating, particularly a recent thread discussing construction of a DIY PSU for the Technics SL1210. I am now semi-retired and work part-time self-employed repairing guitar amps, PA equipment and the occasional Jukebox. My audio interests are primarily vintage audio gear and repair.
I own a varied selection of audio gear but, my main audio system consists of a World Audio Designs valve Preamp, PSU, Phono Stage and WAD KIT34 Power amp which I built in 2002. The speakers used with this system are Yamaha NS1000Ms together with a Technics SL1210 fitted with a Rega RB250 c/w Michell counterweight mod, Incognito wiring and Audio Technica MC cartridge. CD duties are covered a Naim CDX which I found at a local auction for "wait for it" £6.00. For whatever reason the Naim was listed as a video recorder.
As an avid collector of vinyl, my main music interests cover the period between the mid 60s to the mid 70s including: rock, prog, pysch, blues, jazz etc.
Regards
Basil
