Bought from my local dealer while I pondered and was amp less ..

Started looking into Croft gear around the same time and a chance to buy a used 25/7 has prematurely brought my decision forward.

Not much to say about the brio R really, there's enough on the web.

Bought two weeks ago from Cheshire Audio, remote and power lead never taken from their wrappers.

Would consider a deal with a Rega Saturn

Yep, a year ago, these amps were flavour of the week, but NEVER did any of us say that a Croft 25/7 pair wasn't better overall.. Hope you enjoyed your play with this one and hope you find more of what you want with Glenn's offerings :)

I bought one of these ex-dem about two weeks ago and have to say that it really is one of the best amps I've heard and I'm including a Sugden A21a integrated and A21aP power amp along with a Croft basic pre.

The sound sort of creeps up on you, at first it sounds 'ok' then you think 'hmmm that sounds pretty good' then it's like you get used to the sound for a bit then you might listen to something else and it's like 'oh, not heard that before'.

Very very subtle but defintely worth sticking with the amp for a while.

I have a Panny plasma hooked up to it via a maplins dac, an A&R T21 tuner without an external ariel (storms) a really cheap DAB module and my Technics TT.

I'm really enjoying everything through the Rega, loads of power too if you need it but I listen mainly at low volume.

The amp is certainlly not shouty and to me sounds really analogue or 'warm' I suppose.

My speakers are a pair of JR 149s.
