Morning all,
Just thought I'd say hello, been reading the AOS forum for a while now and thought I ought to register, looks to be a nice community :).
I'm called Phil! :), I live in Yorkshire :), I listen to mainly pop and rock, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Belle and Sebastian - current fave, very good band!, Genesis, Kraftwerk, Rage Against the Machine, Talking Heads, LCD Soundsystem (just discovered and it's brill!), Nirvana, Paul Weller, Jamiroquai, Howard Jones, Depeche Mode etc etc etc.
I'm a long time hi-fi/music fan, 30 year ish :(, frightening isn't it! where does time go?
Right now, I'm at a point where I'd say I am rebuilding, having had a bit of a break from the whole thing for a while.
My very modest system is currently, Rega Apollo CDP (bought in the last few months, 2nd hand), a loaned Rotel RA820AX amp. and old Cyrus 780 speakers, bought new by me when they were all the rage :).
Not fully sure which way to go from here, obviously need new amp and speakers, could be talked into active speakers, a pre-power, valves, a DAC, standmounts/floorstanders, a sub etc etc!!!
Anyway, glad to start contributing/further reading.
