A pair of drivers would be ok, if the price is right :)

Are you sure that the drivers don't need 'de-gunking'? It sounds like a buzzy distortion if the goo is leaking onto the voice coil pole piece. I fixed mine this way.

The non working bass driver is not gunked up, although there is a little bit of resistance on the pole (I'm told this is because the voice coil is fried)

I tried putting 1.5v from an AAA battery on the driver terminals, it did absolutely nothing, so needs replacing. :(

Try asking Bourney on the Wam, failing that over at the hifi subjectivist Richard can put new drivers in for you but they would then be non orginal.

I have a set of royd minstrels, - I sold them on ebay a few days ago, working flawlessly..

The guy phoned me up saying there was a problem with one of the tweeters and he put the phone to the speaker, it did sound like one of the tweeters had gone so I told him to bring them back to me and i'd refund him, I refunded him and I hooked them up to my system and yet again they are working flawlessly..

But due to the problem somebody else had - I cant guarantee one of them will work 100% - However, I'd be willing to sell the pair.. They're in a mahogany finish, on custom plinths ( exactly like the real ones but no spike holes ) and the badges are missing.. You can have the pair for £130.00 + £15 postage and packing, if you like - They might also work flawlessly for you which will result in a bargain pair of speakers.

I cant explain the fault with them because they work perfect for me - But I was told one of the tweeters had gone on them.. but you should have 2 full working bass drivers and a spare tweeter, and you can re-sell on ebay or whatever!

This was the ebay sale : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271339090673?ssPageName=STRK:MESDIX:IT
As you can see they sold for £240.00 due to their condition..
PM me if you're interested

I've just noticed this post. Are you aware of the our ban on discussing the above, shown here: http://theartofsound.net/forum/showthread.php?27569-Ban-on-all-discussion-of-Richard-Dunn-(NVA)-and-The-Hi-fi-Subjectivist

If not, please read it, digest it, and don't repeat the offence again. Otherwise, the next time it will result in a ban.

Marco.
