Norwegian fella here. I dig around in 1210´s and fix em up for the clubs and private folks around this city of. But to widen my horizon and knowledge i feel i have to jump aboard now to get advice and expertise from the great folks on here.
Just bought a 1210 that i´m doing some modifications on, so this is a natural place to snoop around.:)

I DJ on a regular basis, been doing so for err.. 10 years i guess.
So when the pitch on a deck died one day at my local spot i play on i decided to fix it myself. I posted a pic on FB doing so and have since gotten more inquires to fix for other clubs/people. Since then the 1210s have come to my door on a regular basis for service. I do proper work (atleast i try) install proper Van Damme w/Neutrik cables (Just started making my own too) and doing mods if required. I clean them and stuff. They get back decks in tip top condition. This one i had now i changed new tonearm, cable, pitch, tonearm internals. Looked like it has been through 2 world wars (been sitting in a basement for a while). Now it looks like new, plays like new. AND i do it cheap.
I do it because i found love in it, What started out as simple pitch change ended up in a small passion/hobby/extra income for me. And seeing how clubs treat their decks. i feel nothing but sorry for the poor things (even they are built to withstand rough use). Someone gotta take good care of them since they make them no more.
So i have gotten to know the 1210 deeper. Personally i have owned four 1210´s previously. (now on my 5th). Im not much scholar in electronics on how transistors and gadgets work, but i can work a solder iron :)
So i´m here to get knowledge. Trying to make my 5th 1210 more suited audiophile for home use. First stop, a noisy and hummy PSU to troubleshoot.

What i play out: Dusty funk and disco, House, pretty much anything they want me to play.
At home, besides finding new stuff. I listen to jazz. Nina Simone, Charlie Parker and such. Bough my deck to start collecting some jazz on wax.
