Interesting - but a tiny touch of common sense called for here. To read that you could rapidly turn paranoid. Basically sound advice, I avoid feeding titbits (habit picked up when I had a Doberman with colitis from gluten allergy), but you can go too far
Apple pips are poisonous to dogs, and I use that fact to get my teenagers clearing the drops from our garden, but they are always behind the curve, and the dogs eat apples and live. So rather than list the items mentioned there I have known dogs eat and survive, I would probably say - "don't choose to feed those, but don't rush to the vets if they lick spilt wine off the floor"
And fatty turkey skin? Please! In moderation chaps.

New ones indeed. Our cats love raisins and sultanas, they er...wolf down raw fish, and will eat any part of the turkey you care to mention. One of them will steal any bits of chocolate that may be carelessly left around.
All are still healthy and still after anything that looks vaguely edible.
As ever, I agree that a bit of common sense is a good idea. Maybe good old mongrel moggies are tougher than posh cats!! Mind you, one of ours is a Burmese with a pedigree as long as my little finger and he pigs everything too:)

My family are under instructions not to give our dog human food. I'm sure he still gets given the odd sausage or bit of chicken though. I feed him well enough to maintain his weight and he gets proper dog treats now and then. He needs nothing else!
