Hi all,

As in the title I have moved house and have a loft conversion which is going to be my 'man cave'.

Need tunes in there desperately.

Was thinking of getting one of these for the low price, need nothing powerful, as its only going to be laptop / pc based music.

For the price, and the reviews, and also the youtube vids.... looks like it'll do the trick.

Anyone got one ?

I bought the Lepai but wasn't keen on it and it's not exactly attractive. I sold it and bought this one:

Much nicer!

Now that's cheap! I know they make lots and in China but bloody hell! It even includes postage! If I had to make a clone of this using components sourced from normal UK sources and including a similar case it would cosy me something like £80 just for the parts at trade price

Thanks Jon, you're right we're just about to launch the first of our new Mini T-amp range; the Mini-1 amplifier! Might be of interest?

The quality of all these amps varies, some are cheap... a little too cheap? Since Tripath production has been out of business for some time, we've actively observed that many chips have exactly the same serial number, plus they also perform strangely when hooked up to testing equipment. The worst offending 'Tripath' chips distort aggressively and they do so a lot quicker than a genuine sourced IC.

We're gathering more data on this to share with the community and plan to write a blog on this in the near future! Hope this helps you choose the right amp for the job
