Having another dabble with T amps and battery solutions and not certain that my JM Lab 926's are the best match (not bad but a little restrained due to low power I think). Really interested in a shortlist of secondhand efficient speakers that can deliver the goods.
Budget - interested in under £200.00 hidden gems.

Any recommendations?

Chris

You could maybe try some Q-acoustics? Heard the 2010i and sounded nice for the money. I believe the bigger version are available here (http://theartofsound.net/forum/showthread.php?29567-FS-QAccoustic-2020i-speakers-with-without-stands&p=508240#post508240) in private exhibitions.

Or if you don't mind a bit of DIY, the FH3 ????

Sounds sublime with JPW P1/AP2/AP3 & surprisingly good with Castle Conway II's... I think its more to do with having an impedance that doesn't dip too low than sensitivity when partnering speakers with a T amp :)

My speakers are only 87 dB/W/m 6ohm impedance and they are plenty loud enough with my Bantam Gold.

Thanks to all for the interesting recommendations.

If money was no object what would the hidden gem speaker list look like for something like the Bantam or new Amptastic?

Would a 2020 T amp drive a pair of these speakers?

How does the FH3 sound with a T Amp? I'm thinking of having a go with the Bantam Gold.
