They are a well liked TT. The arm will handle some decent enough cartridges and at that price I don't think you'd go wrong.

The IIx is also highly moddable. There was a chap called Sreten on VE years ago and he had a very highly tuned IIx which was the dogs dangly bits by all accounts ;)
