The main lady that we deal with when working for our biggest client is very straight laced and really quite unemotional, this is the typo I made a couple of days ago.
" Hi Pippa, with the run up to Christmas I'm really wanting to get my dick in a row regarding your work, is there any work outstanding other than what is listed below"
I didn't even see it until a few days later!

My wife was emailing a friend using her Kindle and just at the last moment before pressing send she noticed that it has changed Dear Saran to Dear Satan,
Once on the News Quiz on R4 when they read out cuttings from the press and other typos there was a restaurant menu that included "Aberdeen Anus",
Richly deserved for using a phrase like "getting my ducks in a row" in the first place.
Years ago now there was a young girl at the company I worked at who was keen to get ahead and wanted to impress so she kept pushing herself forward for various tasks. So they gave her the job of updating the company phone list - she did it, made a couple of hundred copies and distributed them around the building.
Well she must have had some form of dyslexia or something as pretty much every single word and name was mis-spelt, including one of the owners of the company who was down as 'Brains' rather than 'Brian'.
She got a written warning for that but did not learn her lesson as several months later, charged with organising a staff function, she sent round invites that suggested we all meet up early for 'dinks'.

Most embarrassing typo's
I'd consider that a pretty embarrassing typo, personally... :D
When I was lad living in Sarf Lundon, the South London Press printed a story about a lady that had been run over by a car and said she had been "Kocked unconscious"...Nice.

Someone I used to work with wrote up a protocol for a lab procedure and obviously couldn't decide whether to put deionised water or demineralised water and ended up putting "demonised water"!
Spoken rather than written, in a broad Janner (google it) accent, by one of my customers many years ago:
" 'Ere bey, you 'ear that Verdi's Rectum on the wureless las' night?"

I forget the exact details but there was an announcement for someone giving a Piano Rectal
My favourite TV presenter faux pas was uttered by a young female presenter during a local newscast IIRC in which she mentioned 'hypodeemic nurdles' (sic)

One of my favourites was sports presenter Bob Wilson announced on Football Focus that 'Joe Jordan had just pissed a late fatness test'.
Typist at a Goverment office I worked at in my youth referred to the "pubic service act" in a letter that was to go to the Minister (Public Service Act was correct). Fortuntaely it was picked up by the senior officer that was to sign it who returned it referring to "the schoolboy howler" of a mistake.

I've worked at a few Blue Chip companies where even the standard form letters contained appalling errors of grammar, punctuation and even spelling. At some companies when I pointed it out they were changed, at others they could not understand what the problem was.
Lack of attention to detail! That's the bloody problem! Nothing worse than sending out an amateurish letter when you are in business.

I remember reading fairly recently that a good proportion of students leaving full time education these days would fail a fairly modest spelling test of the sort I had to complete every day when at school. I find that quite disturbing :eyebrows:

That's because these days their school hours are spent learning about their 'Carbon Footprint' and visiting mosques instead of, like you say, countless spelling and maths tests, rote learning of historical events and dates, reading , writing and all those other basic skills and knowledge that our generation take for granted.
The penis mightier than the sword.
My very first boss once claimed that his dog was "one of them cockerel spanners".
