For Sale: ESI uniK 08 active studio monitors

Just coming up to one year old, mint condition, incl. manuals, mains leads & original boxes plus a pair of gold-plated TS/Phono adaptors.

Fully active 2-way monitors with ribbon tweeters. Amazing performance for the price.

RRP £550. I'm well aware that Thomann is running down his stock at a stupidly low price. Please don't remind me. If you want to buy them from Germany you go right ahead.

£280 collected from Glastonbury.

I can send these but the insured cost is going to be nearly £40 and I won't include it in the price.

Sorry this is a bit crap but Flickr appears to be dead, I couldn't get PhotoBucket to work at all, ImageShack was the best I could find (but my goodness is it ever crap).

Ah, good. ImageShack made me scream even more than I usually do at Flickr!

As it is a fully active design, there are two amps per speaker - a 60 Watt one for the bass/mid and a 30 Watt one for the ribbon tweeter. They go plenty loud.

The bass roll-off can be adjusted in order to ease integration with a subwoofer or a difficult room or close to wall siting.

The treble can also be adjusted up or down a tad to allow for under- or over-damped rooms.

They accept balanced inputs via XLR or unbalanced via 1/4in TS and a pair of TS/Phono adaptors is included.

They sound great but they are now in my second system which I don't really need and are just taking up space. I'd rather have the cash to spend on some other new toy even though I'm not going to get anywhere near what I paid for them.

The prospective buyer hasn't shown up or made further contact so I'm assuming he's changed his mind and that means these are still available.

Final bump.

Make your mind up time. If these haven't gone by the weekend then they are staying. I need to move on and the question mark over these is now holding me up.

OK, back again. Somebody please buy my ESI's. They are fantastic speakers and far too good to just sit here as ornaments.

£260 collected from Glastonbury.

I frequently travel south-west from here so if you live near Taunton, Yeovil, Exeter, Exmouth, Torbay then I can deliver for free by doing it on one of my regular trips. I often have an excuse to go to Bristol too.
