This is a cracking DAC Grant , particularly when powered by battery . The truth is my hearing has been deteriorating over the last couple of years and the Doctor confirmed this a couple of weeks ago . Recently the wife has been coming through and asking me to turn the volume down . Trouble is I think the volume is quite low when she does this. So my system is getting very little use and I think someone could make better use of the Bushmaster . I've decided to downsize and maintain a very simple system for use when the opportunity arises.

Not so good Brian..i,m in the same boat tbh and have to pick my times to play or turn it down too.
Heard your DAC and Bantam and server and it sounds great. Sure it will sell easily enough.

Sorry to learn about your hearing Brian. Have you considered a headphone rig set up? With a good 32 Ohms headphone you can get a good dose of SPL.

Aye Stan , I bought a set of Superlux headphones but just couldn't get used to them . I was getting pretty good results with the Bushmaster via the headphones, but in 30 years or so I've never been a headphone user and probably never will be . Just one of those things mate . Done stupid things in the past which affected my hearing - like working :lol:

Have you considered a set of ear plugs or noise cancelling headphones for the wife instead?

Thanks for your reply. Sorry I couldn't see the pictures on my tablet when I first looked at your post, it just had spaces where the images should have been.
