I bought (or I thought I did) 200 of the CD sleeves (discussed here (http://theartofsound.net/forum/showthread.php?26958-Jazz-Loft-Space-Saving-CD-sleeves)) from The Jazz Loft (http://www.jazzloft.com/default.aspx) and I haven't received them yet.

I made the order on November 4th
Then I got an email, also on the 4th, saying "A package was shipped to you on 11/04/2013 via U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail International, Legal Flat Rate Env"

Here's the Tracking Info:

I've had no card through the door, either on the 13th, or on any day since.
I've emailed The Jazz Loft repeatedly and still have had no reply - not a thing.

They have my $56.95
What should I do?

Have you been to your local sorting office Chris to see if they have it , our postie often doesn,t bother with red cards so when an expected item does not arrive that's usually where I find it
good luck

Well, our postie has always stuck a card through the door. I'm not sure it would be coming by Royal Mail - if it was, would they tell the tracking service about a failed delivery attempt?

If it was sent using the US postal service it will definatley be royal mail delivering they always do post from other national postal services , as to the tracking I've had some weird stuff come up when checking so I would not rule it out , but yes it does smell a bit fishy , still may be worth checking with them

Surely the distance selling laws would apply here?

How did you pay?

Perhaps I'll go & check in the morning.
There's no excuse for ignoring emails though.

I used Paypal Ali - unusually for me.

I bought 1000 of the sleeves from Jazzloft and they took ages to come. But they got here eventually.

Of course if your order was over 15 USD then you'll have a customs charge and handling fee to pay so you'll definitely card as they'll want their cash!

if you paid by paypal you can get a refund worse case. Could be they are trying to deliver in the wrong country. I've seen parcels meant for the UK go to United Arab Emirates and one for Chelsea in London go to the Czech Republic. I think it all blends into one a bit for the Yanks.

Chances are it is held up in the UK for customs (or just to cheer you up has been sent back for customs charge not paid). It should only be VAT for that amount. The tracking reference should let you contact the post office and determine its whereabouts. I agree it is poor for them not to respond to emails, but (no excuse) they may have assumed it is in transit, and would find it far more difficult than you to get useful tracking information once it has arrived in the customs shed in the UK. Try contacting your post office. Distance selling regulations are not easy to enforce against non-UK EU suppliers never mind non-EU suppliers. Beware experts on other forums. However both credit cards and paypal provide protection. Best of British :)

Update due, I suppose - I got an email in reply to my last one to them. However, my previous ones were not acknowledged.
I went to the sorting office on Saturday and they had no knowledge of it whatsoever. I spent the rest of the weekend trying to work out what to do next but it seems a card was put through the letterbox today while I was at work - from Royal Mail.
So it seems that the people who provide the tracking service got it wrong or, as someone suggested, someone got the wrong country!

I'll change the title of this thread, as it seems unfair to leave the inference there.....but hopefully the folks at Jazz Loft will reply to attempts to contact them a bit more diligently in future.
