Denon DL110 retip?

Hi all,
I have a Denon DL110 sitting in a box minus stylus. Seems a shame, and was wondering, is there anyone who could retip it? And of course, is it worth it over the cost of a new one? Is retipping the reserve of cartridges much higher up the food chain? Would love to hear if anyone has done similar.

With people putting fancy tips on a couple of quid's worth of Goldring G800 or Shure M3D, I don't see why the DL-110 should be excluded!

I reckon the DL-110 would probably benefit massively from say, a Boron tube cantilever and nude fine line diamond. You'd never get your invested money back though.

Why not ask Dominic at NAS if he's ever done one?

I got a german fellow that retips it, starting from something like €90 if I recall for cheap alluminum cantilever and elliptical tip, up to a few hundreds for ruby cantilever and shibatta tip.

I've seen a B&O MMC20CL he retipped and in all honesty, I could barely tell the difference (I suspect the cantilever/line tip is made by a third party as an assembly..)

Back to the DL110. I seem to remember there used to be an exchange scheme IIRC of 25% off a new one on exchange, which may still apply. The stock cartridge is a bit 'meh' and bland by MC standards, but this might just be the stock diamond tip as much as over-damping the suspension to make it as safe as houses in all sorts of tonearms. Please bear this in mind if the retip charge is shedloads of dosh..

Expert Stylus company. Prop. W Hodgson. He has done a wonderful job on my Entre 1 MC over the years. I think I am on my 4th stylus (!) W. loves the Entre. Says it is still one of his favourite cartridges. Mine too...
