I used to own a Goldring G900IGC which is a lovely sounding MM cartridge and I bought the G820 as a stop gap for when the 900IGC stylus finally gave up the ghost. The chap I bought it from owned it from new but had never used it (although he did remove it from its packaging and subsequently lost it). Inspection of the stylus bears this out. On a whim I installed the 820 into my SME Series III on my Techie and I was absolutely blown away by its presentation. It has a ballsy sound with bags of detail, bass performance and timing are epic and it will really get your foot tapping. It is very easy to set up and once done it just gets on with the job with a minimum of fuss. The stylus is spherical but don't let that put you off as it digs out as much detail from the record grooves as either the G900IGC or the DL160 for sale in one of my other listings.
