Hello All from A New Member !

Howdy Folks!

Would just like to introduce myself! My name is Mike and live in Western Canada (BC to be more specific). I currently own a pair of professionally refurbished Koss CM-1030 loudspeakers and as yet have not decided on a suitable amplifier. I will more than likely stream through a laptop using Foobar or Media Center via USB into a DAC equipped amplifier (currently thinking Peachtree Decco65)!

I am also an avid musician (multi-instrumentalist) and have a home studio using Reaper as my DAW of choice along with countless guitars, keyboards, drums and other odds and ends.

I look forward to corresponding and reading the forum on a regular basis. If anyone has suitable recommendations as to which amplifier would best fit with my Koss CM-1030's it would be very much appreciated! Wish I never got rid of my JVC AX-9 Super A integrated amp all those years back :(

Not really...info on these speakers are virtually non-existent on the net other than a few aficionados. They were built by Koss between 1978 and 1984 I believe as the CM line which included the CM1010, 1020 and 1030's. I originally heard them while in high school in the late 70's as a buddy of mine had purchased a pair. Absolutely brilliant loudspeaker and highly regarded in their day (still are) as evidenced by various reviews at the time. I managed to find a pair a few months ago for $250 dollars and just finished having them professionally refurbished (crossovers, wiring, switches, etc). Luckily all drivers were functional and the rebuild cost me around $1,300. I've been looking for these for the past 35 years !!
