Hi my name is Alex from sunny Glasgow (or...Glesga) and just joined AOS forum.

I have been buying records on and off since I was teenager covering most genres although my focus over the last year or so has been jazz, afro, modal and spiritual. Up until yesterday I played my vinyl on my beloved LP12, AO RB300, Trichord PSU but managed to pick up an old friend - the 1210 :D I realise things have moved much since my previous days of owning this TT and hope to make some improvements as time goes on - but first its just elbow grease to clean about 22 years of grime and dust (from my knowledge the pitch seems spot on - spindle steady but a little movement on the platter and height adjustment stuck solid :scratch:.

I'm looking forward to chipping in and find so much interesting reading my wife has already threatened to join to have a chat with me...

Anyway- that the formalities over and done with and welcome any comments.

Good stuff Scott :) and just had a look at your vinyl shop....some great titles in there. Do you sell records from Wishaw or only online?

Chris, thanks for asking. I'm simply using a nait 5i and B&W 684's although Ive been planning to change the speakers for some time now but just never got round to it. In the room I hope to add the 1210 and also store lots of records, I have a native instruments audio 10 soundcard, 24" Mac and set of KrK Rokit 5's for more digital set up.
