Yes, EIL can be expensive, but the lps I have bought from them in the past have generally been mint and worth the premium ...

First time I have been really dissapointed with EIL.

Got my lp today only to find an Oxfam sticker on the back with 99p written on it! They were originally trying to sell this lp for just under a tenner and I paid just under five in their sale. I guess they have teams of buyers scouring charity shops for bargains. I don't know, just doesn't feel right to me ...

Nearly all the vinyl I have had from them has been in premium condition but this isn't unsurprisingly. My amp is hopefully back from service today or tomorrow so will give it a spin but suspect it will be going back to them ..

Yeah that's a real shame and unusual for them , doubt its straight from Oxfam though , I haven't seen them flogging an Lp for 99p in donkeys years ,they had a James Last album for £14:eek: in my local Oxfam last time I looked

No need for that at all Mr Wazoo - it's EIL's fault not yours!! I've been buying from them for a few years now and 99% of the time their stuff is mint, hence the generally higher prices I'm willing to pay.

It's definitely a 99p Oxfam job - I mainly buy classical and you can often buy classical lp's for this kind of money in Oxfam, well at least you can in the branches round here. I once picked up a totally mint classical lp I really wanted for the same price but have never had the same luck since. The ones I have looked at since have been well used ... Some of the rock and pop at Oxfam is now a different matter though. I recently saw a copy of Led Zep II for £30 that looked like a child had spent an hour or so making designs on it with a sharp chisel ...:eek:

Towd Barbarian lad oil would never use a dealer to buy records. A certain record collecting price guide {That dealers nearly always base collectable records pricing on} single handedly destroyed the record collecting i used to love doing.. :steam: I don't give two craps if it's a buisness or not, Also i do not back expensive 2nd hand record shops, 2nd hand records are worth what they fetch at reasonable prices, regardless of what they are..not dictated by a price guide imho..
