I have a Marantz CD 583 CD player. A few marks, needs some lube to the mech but plays well.

Rotel RT-845AXL tuner. A few marks to the top but nothing on the fascia. Power button missing but still operable. Not tested.

Denon DRW 760 double cassette deck. A few marks to the top but nothing on the fascia. Not tested.

I'm open to offers to get rid of as I need the space. Collect or sent at cost.

No pics as I haven't time unless someone is genuinely interested.

One piece or all. It has to go.

Come on lads. I need a silly (?) offer for these three good pieces of kit.

An ideal start to a second system or starter for a newbie.

The Marantz CD583 cd player will make a smashing player for some one..it has a cdm4/19 Mechanism and is based on the phillips TDA1451a dac(chip)..It can't be used as a transport..but will be a very nice cd spinner in its own right..

Exactly and the Rotel tuner and Denon cassette deck are great units. I don't understand why I've had no offers..

Not as if I need much for them !!!

Rotel made some damned good tuners in this era to go with their then class-leading amps and (sometimes) CD players...

An excellent tuner and all I want is an offer for it...

I just don't believe you lot - I can't even give stuff away..

If no one makes me an offer, it's all down the dump next week. I need the space.

Is there no charity shop in SW that takes electrical stuff? Power buttons for the tuner may still be available as a spare part surely? I have enough stuff as you know Dave, so cannot take any more!

Charity shops won't take electrical goods.

Anyway, too late I have dumped the Marantz, Rotel and Denon to free up space.

I can't understand why people on here talk about budget, second systems and the like but can't be bothered to even enquire about these...

Legacy kit, Dave. When you said you were going to bin them I almost said I would take them for postage plus a drink but let's face it no-one has use for a tape deck these days, the CD player needs work and is only worth the postage at best and no-one on here needs a tuner - if they use one or even if they don't they will have at least one already. I don't understand why you did not eBay them. You would have got at least a tenner each plus postage.

What I wanted was for these items to go to a good home. I wasn't expecting anything other than carriage costs but couldn't even raise that.
