Hi there!

I want to know, if someone of You has this version

http://rateyourmusic.com/release/album/miles_davis/kind_of_blue__jazz_masterpieces_/

of this classic album (or one of the other 2 versions from this series [jazz masterpieces] with different cover; Miles is playing there left-handed...)

Anyway I want to ask You how do You value this edition? Some people say that this sounds like shit but on the other hand, this version has the highest DR values. And different issue is that this edition has wrong speed, corrected in some 90's.

thanks

If it's the wrong speed then it's off the main recorder which was running just a little bit slow on the sessions.
It will have more punch and attack than the "correct speed" version, that's for sure.
It might even make better sense musically.

As to the DR values - it's another fixation equated with "sound quality" that actually has sod all to do with a recording's quality, but then audiophools fixate on the oddest of things :eyebrows:
