E88cc / ecc88 difference

Hi can any valve experts tell me the actual difference between these two valves I know the E88CC is the same as a 6922 but all I can find on the ECC88 is that it is similar to a 6922 :scratch:

Quality I think you'll find. The e88cc is the dom perignon. The ecc88 the regular moet et chandon :cool:

There are good and less good examples of all those types IMHO.

Yeah. Electrically they are equivalent. E88cc is closer toleranced.
Pip 2 depends on owen who is recovering from storm damage then off to Tenerife. Christmas? If I'm lucky :)

Sure. I was just noting that transposing the digits was mullards way of denoting "special" quality :cool:

Yes, they are nice valves, Mullards are not cheap now though. I'm quite fond of the Amperex, also the Siemens & Halske, nice sounding valves. Prefer them even to the Telefunkens.

Using a pair of Mullards in my Copland, very nice. I have a pair of EH in the X-Can v3, not as smooth.
