Q Acoustics 2050i anyone ?

Hi,

Can anyone share his/her opinion on these speakers ? They garnered some good reviews but I would prefer to read from someone who actually has them in a stereo system.

These were my first Hifi speakers, i demod them along side the Monitor Audio bronze bx5 and another set along the similar price point.

the Qacoutics for me did the job, maybe didnt match the clarity of the bx5s but the bx5s sounded boring in comparison and really didnt have the bass or punch that i was looking for.

Iv had them over 9months now and am really happy with my purchase, unfortunately though being new to hifi i have little to compare them to.

thank's ... i could get a pair from an "unofficial" dealer locally for roughly 510 £ delivered. But no chance to hear them beforehand... To ship them to Switzerland would certainly cost quite a lot considering the weight (40+kg) :eyebrows: The official importer is still in the process of consolidating his dealer network... that's why I'm having a hard time finding one locally where I could get a listen to them. Maybe I should put it off for a while ?

I had a pair a few months back for sale on this forum...couldn't get them to sing, sold them then had them returned when the buyer's handbrake objected to the size!!

after many week tinkering and moving them around my soundspace i managed to to get them to gel...they also benefited for a hike in amp power, they need a few watts to really get going.

also tried biwiring but in my rig the timing and focus fell apart.

yep thanks. I still haven't decided if I want to get a new pair of speakers. I've done some amp updates and everything seems to be very coherent again.. cheers
