Got it in my head that I'd like to try a rega deck in my main system.

Ideally in plug and play condition with plenty life in the cart. No noisy motor etc.

What have you got?

A sound choice.

If you want new, plug n play, the RP1 is unbeatable at the price.

So I hear and they're not badly priced but I'm hoping for maybe a few dollars more an rp3 or p3-24 may be had.

I have a Rega deck without an arm for £40, it can accomodate any of the Rega arms.

I have a planar3 with RB300 and Linn K5, no box so it would need collected, looking for £200.

Richard, I have a planar2 that's not been used for some while. It's been rewired (incognito), acrylic platter plus some other mods. No cart. You're welcome to try it out, no obligation. I'm in central Newcastle.

chris

edit: I do have an old AT cart but its cheap and won't do it justice.

Hi Chris, that quite a nice offer and I'm actually in town today!

I'll PM details to make arrangements.

Hi Rich

Sorry it couldn't be sorted yesterday.

Did you get my pm? It doesn't appear in my sent items but I remember being confused before

Next weekend?

Chris

Just a quick update to say I'm sorted now, so thanks for all the responses.

Steve, I had a nice chat with Alex today. We decided not to go ahead with his sale but had a good banter anyway. Smashing chap.

Chris, thanks for the offer. I got your PM, but when I saw a relatively local sale for a p3-24 with an Exact cartridge for a fantastic price I got in the car and went for it. Perhaps I'll catch up with you soon at a NEBO.

Cheers again for all the responses.

Rich.

Rich

No problem at all. Just happy to help.

I've heard really good things about the P3-24. It sounds like a great find and I do hope it suits.

Cheers...Chris
